Hello neighbor!
Thanks for checking in.
If you are here, you have received a gift from us along with an invitation to reach out if you need help.
Keep Calm We’ve Got Your Back
Know that we wore masks and gloves and sanitized all surfaces while preparing your package and while delivering them to your door. The last thing we want to do is make you more nervous or anxious. We are practicing social distancing and, like you, want to see the spread of COVID-19 end as soon as possible.
In the meantime, we’d like to serve you in any way possible, and we’ll do our best to connect you with other resources in the event we cannot.
Why are we doing this?
We love Somerville and we love our neighborhood! We’ve enjoyed meeting you at the August block parties, chatting in parks as our kids play soccer together, connecting over backyard fences, and in passing on the street.
When this crisis hit we found ourselves wondering if there might be a way we could serve the people around us while asking nothing of them.
So we put our heads together with a few praying friends and we decided, “We’ll give each house a roll of toilet paper and a list of resources” along with that invitation to reach out to us.
These are stressful times for everyone. The uncertainty about health, job security and the economy, and whether the kids even go back to school this year effects us all. And isolation hits particularly hard if you are living alone.
If you are feeling that, know that we are particularly well-suited to listening and praying for you. We’ve seen it make a huge difference in our lives and we’d like to pass that blessing on to you.
So reach out. We are here for you. No strings attached.
May you and those you love dwell in safety and peace,
Mark
